Every year, PETA hosts an interesting contest to name the sexiest vegan and vegetarian celebs of the year.

And this year’s winner is ... Miley Cyrus ! Congratulations!

10. Ellen DeGeneres

With a platform as big as a beloved daily talk show, Ellen has spread her love of animals to audiences across the world. She is also a strict vegan, and has been one for many years. She even launched a new section, entitled “Going Vegan with Ellen,” to her show’s website.

9. Tobey Maguire

Spiderman star Tobey Maguire has been a vegetarian since 1992, but made the switch to veganism in 2009.

He’s never been the biggest carnivore, he admitted in interviews, and a meat-free lifestyle consequently wasn’t a hard adjustment for him.

8. Carrie Underwood

The singer has the unusual title of winning Sexiest Vegetarian twice: once in 2005 and again in 2007. She must really be sexy!

Carrie Underwood once was quoted as saying, “I quit eating beef when I was about 13. I do it because I really love animals and it just makes me sad.”

As a teen, she was a vegetarian and then became a vegan in 2012. Her husband Dax Shepard, was originally named PETA’s Sexiest Male 2013 (beating out Bill Clinton and Prince), but when he admitted he ate chicken, he lost the title.

One compliment last year’s Oscar winner continually receives is that he looks ten years younger than he is, which could very easily be attributed to his 20 years of vegetarianism.

He started out as a vegetarian but then upgraded to veganism a few years later, after hearing about pus in dairy products. He won the sexiest title last year, along with Ellen Page, who won the female title.
