Chinese Rip-off Better Than iPhone!? “Apple? No…this is Orange.”
While the iPhone4S is selling like hot cakes in Hong Kong, most of mainland China has yet to see an official release date.
Even so, you won’t see the people of China upset about it, oh no: while the rest of the world plays with their shiny new apples, China was just delivered a fresh batch of organes—the iOrgane GT6, to be exact.
While there are a number of iPhone rip-offs on the market, the iOrgane (no, not iOrange) has been knocking off the iPhone for years now and has built a reputation for doing it better than the rest…perhaps even Apple itself.
Impossible, you say? One look at iOrgane’s groovy commercial and I think you might begin to have second thoughts (seriously, at least watch from 1:00, it’s hilarious).
“It is so cool writing message with single hand.”
SOLD.
Though, we do find it slightly difficult to take this claim seriously as it is being asserted by a person with two right hands.
But really, the iOrgane’s case is nearly indistinguishable from a standard iPhone and uses an iPhone iOS style user interface…run on the Android 2.2 OS. Surely to the inexperienced eye, the only thing that will stick out is the Apple-esque orange logo on the back.
The product page lists the specifics of iOrgane’s juicy technical innards:
*3.5 inch multi-touch screen
* Unlocked, support 3G(WCDMA), GSM network
* 3.2MP back Camera, support auto focus, digital zoom
* Powerful Qualcom processor, 1GHz CPU
* Super slim, only 9.3mm
* With Apple iPhone logo
Take that Apple! You and your 8MP camera and your dual-core A5 processor and your…oh, wait…
The iOrgane is available for purchase here (there is only one model avalibale: 512MB ROM / 256MB RAM built-in memory with microSD/SDHC support up to 32GB) at the price of US $224.99, with international shipping available.
Not too bad, considering the 16GB iPhone4S costs $199 and…oh, wait…
