Turn Your iPad2 Into a Karaoke Machine With Karaoke Anywhere, On Sale Now in Japan
While the world eagerly awaits Apple’s iPad announcement on March 7, Japanese tech company Spec Computer gave iPad2 owners something to sing about earlier this month with the release of “Karaoke Anywhere for iPad2,” a peripheral device that attaches to the iPad2 to turn it into a fully-functioning karaoke machine.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoDE1L884cY&w=580&h=325]The device is sold as a set costing 9800 yen (US $120.81) that includes the main unit, AC adapter, audio cable and 2 microphones, as well as instructions in both English and Japanese.
The main unit connects to the iPad2 via the audio cable and produces sound from 10W speakers built into the front. The face of the unit is also equipped with two microphone input plugs and three different knobs to adjust music volume, microphone volume and echo.
The iPad2 is secured to a stand built into the top of the unit that can be adjusted to an incline of up to 75 degrees. The stand also allows the iPad to be rotated freely.
Spec Computer also suggests that the device can be used for meetings or presentations, with the speaker talking into the microphone while looking at the screen.
