Hello Kitty Goes Vocaloid

Japanese cultural symbols Hello Kitty and Hatsune Miku , the popular female persona of Yamaha’s voice synthesizer application Vocaloid , have come together in the ultimate dream collaboration.

The collaboration was revealed over Twitter by Yoshinobu Tanji, a reporter for the Asahi Shinbun who covers Vocaloid-related news.

Mr. Tanji, who is known in the Vocaloid world as Asa P, reports that the collaboration has received approval from Sanrio and Crypton Future Media, the company behind Hatsune Miku.
Along with the tweet were three pictures showing several different Hello Kitty character designs based on Vocaloid personae Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, and Kagamine Rin and Len.

Hello Kitty, who seems to have no trouble finding work these days, will also make her undead debut later this year.
